Common position paper by EU education stakeholders
[06.04.11] The Association for Community Colleges and 26 other stakeholders in education and training have adopted a common position paper on visions for the future of education, training and youth programmes.

Entitled “Investing in People through Sustainable and Inclusive EU Programmes” the position paper proposes four principles on the vision for the future programmes. The promoters believe that EU programmes should aim to support organisations and individual learners in building the Europe-wide learning space step by step.

The four principles fall under headlines “Promoting a Holistic Vision of Learning”, “Ensuring an Equal Access for All”, “A Learner-centred Perspective” and “A participatory approach”. It is considered to contribute to a new generation of programmes that is more ambitious.

The position paper with the four principles was made public at the EUCIS website.
